August

Since I really haven't had time this month to do many posts and so much has happened, I thought I'd post a bunch of pictures and captions about what has been going on:

Sarah, my brother Pete's girlfriend, goofing around with Jonathan at my cousin's wedding

Me and the twins at my parents house.

Caroline laughing...the twins are now eating almost all table food...I am SO done with baby food, espcially since there are two of them!!!!
Jonathan playing at a public sandbox in my home town. He LOVES his diggers, dumpers, and backhoes! Joseph and Caroline playing with the straps on a booster seat in our kitchen. Joseph, of course, trying to stand up in the most dangerous location.
"Aunt" Shannon...or should I say Detective Shannon Bisel (for the Merriam Police Dept). SHe and her husband, Uncle Bret (or Bet as Jonathan says) gave Jonathan a police (or Pease cah as Jonathan says) and an awesome digger for his birthday. Unlce Bret and his buddy! Jonathan LOVES when "Bet" comes over to play...I think it is time for Bet and Shannon to take Jonathan for a day to play with their doggies since Jonathan has been asking DAILY, "Where Bet go?"

We are alive...

I have been trying since Friday to get a post up, but every time I do, either the blog says I can't or there is an issue or a baby starts crying!

There is so much to update everyone on I don't even know where to begin!!!!!

Vacation: Great but EXHAUSTING!!! The twins barely slept at my mom and dad's so...I don't need to go into that. We had so much fun doing things with my niece and family I'll post more pictures when I get a chance.

Jonathan: Turned 2 years old last Friday, August 22nd. We had a weekend of fun! Had an impromptu neighborhood cupcake picnic Friday afternoon that I will show pictures of soon.

Joseph: Pulling up to stand and taking a few steps at almost 9 months...CRAZY! WILD CHILD!!!

Caroline: Same as every (happy and smiles alot) but getting more opinionated and kicking her legs and feet something fierce when not happy!

Me: Trying to stay afloat with work and life.... there are 3 huge loads of the kids laundry that need to be put away if anyone feels like volunteering and helping me put away as I seem to NEVER have the time to do. :-)))

Thomas:.... I'll let him fill in there.

Saturday we are taking Jonathan to his first KState football game...that will be another post, but we can't wait! My friend and college, Carrie and her girls, are coming over to watch the twins!!! THANK YOU A MILLION CARRIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS. I slept 6 straight hours last night! There is a light at the end of the tunnel!!!

Happy Birthday Jonathan!!!!

Two years ago...

I started this post on Friday, Jonathan's actual birthday, but our internet has been acting funny and hasn't let us stay on long so now I can finally post!

TWO years ago Friday our little (or big to us) man was born at 9:45pm weighing 7lb 13oz. We didn't really want to have a big party since, (1) we just got back in town and life is still crazy and (2) he really doesn't understand birthdays yet, so we kinda had a weekend of partying but in a laid back kind of way. Here are some pictures:

Posing with Mommy's beautiful (ha) sign.

Neighborhood birthday picnic!

Blowing out 2 candles with Daddy's help.

Ok, here's the thing. Look at the frosting above in the picture of Jonathan and his father.....

I have nothing else to say except, "Hen House...you have GOT to be kidding me!"

We're baaaack!

More to come, but just wanted to make a post that we made it back in almost one (or should I say 5) piece! I don't recommend flying with 3 kids under age 2 to anyone, but most people don't have 3 kids under 2. We had a grand time at my cousin Laurie's wedding (congrats Laurie and and Aaron!) and had tons of fun with cousin Erin, Aunt Katie, Uncle Phil, Unlce Pete, Sarah and Grammie and Grampie! We are completely exhausted as the twins BARELY slept and just traveling is tiring we feel we need a vacation from our vacation. When things get back to normal I'll give more details and photos! J

Boston Trip

Friday we ALL leave to visit my family and go to my cousin's wedding on Saturday the 9th. The thought of flying with all three kids has my stomach in a knot and it has been for a week or so. We are taking a 7:40 AM direct flight into Boston. Thomas, my mother and I have bought a back-pack full of "stuff" for Jonathan to do and we hope that just occupies his time. We are also bringing a DVD player a selection of Jonathan's favorite shows (Wonder Pets, Blue's Clues, Caillou, and a surprise MIGHTY MACHINES - Diggers & Dozers and Lights and Ladders). For the twins, well, we just hope Caroline is her usually angel baby and that Joseph doesn't scream to loud. Lately he has been on the move!!! He is pulling up to stand and bounces, so I have no clue how we are going to keep him "still" on the plane. We will have Benadryl which we will most likely use on Joseph. We bought 4 seats- two for car seats and kids; two for Thomas and I and that leaves one baby to be passed between us. The plan is to leave here NO LATER than 5AM so we can check all of us in. Thomas will drop me and all the kids and luggage, two car seats and two strollers off, then go to the Parking Spot and take the shuttle back to the terminal. We will bring the car seats, kids, and two strollers up to gate. So, give a little shot out at 7:40AM Friday to the big man above that the Patnodes' have a safe, happy and non stressful flight to Boston. WE can't wait to see my family and share our vacation with you when we get back!

Off to deal with 3 loads of laundry and pack for everyone but Thomas:-))
