More Summer Pictures....

Doctor, Doctor!!!! HOOORRRAAAAYYYY for Uncle Pete and his girlfriend Sarah! Both recieved their Ph.D.'s from Dartmouth College! SOOOO Proud of them. Pete has been working at MIT for the past year...something about Cancer research (WAY ABOVE my head) and Sarah will be a visiting Professor at the College of the HOLY CROSS (where Pete graduated from)!! You guys ROCK!!! (oh, that's my mom and dad in the pics! Proud parents...and should be:-))

Summer 2010!

I don't have enough time to ever sit and write much anymore...but here is a glimps of our summer, most pictures from our 4 weeks in Massachusetts:-) Thomas joined for the first two weeks, then headed back to KC to work and deal with a lovely problem of our AC going out..that's another story! Anyway, for 3 of those days he was with us, we went to Cape Cod, where my family use to go every summer. I got teary as the kids ran to the ocean as I use to. Although we were sleep deprived, we had a blast and it was an awesome experience for the kids and they haven't stopped talking about all we did there. Since time is of the essence, I am going to post a few pics today but will try to put more up soon as we have over 300 from the 4 weeks there!

Frogs, mud and pigtails!

Oh little boys! As I was about to get dinner ready this evening, I heard quite a commotion out back. Daddy was mowing and the boys were doing something. I ran down the deck stairs and really couldn't hear with the mower going, but Jonathan emerged from under the deck with his hands a mess and something in it. I, embarrassed to admit, ran screaming away from him because I thought it was a dead mouse (I have no clue why). Over the mower, Thomas yelled that it was a frog. With further examination, I realized poor froggie was about to be squished to death. We put him in a bucket and brought him to a creek near our house to "go home and eat his dinner." (only after showing all the other kids in the hood).

NOVEMBER

November was a very busy month! It started with Thomas and Jonathan being very important members of our good friends Josh and Bridget's wedding. Thomas was the Best Man and Jonathan was a Ring Bearer. They both did an AMAZING job!

THEN, Joseph and Caroline turned 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then, the three kids and myself went back East to visit my family. Below you will see me and the kids on the plane...oh no, we had help. "Jack", as my kids call him, is our babysitter's boyfriend flew with us on the plane to help. His brother lives in Boston and hung out with him but was SUCH A TROOPER on the plane and helped me!!!

DECEMBER
Well, Santa came to our house and rocked my kids world!


On another positive note, I started a new job that I absolutely love. I am working 20 hours a week at the Kansas State School for the Deaf with the middle and high school students. Just perfect!

This Fall....

HAS FLOWN BY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My head spins at the thought of trying to remember all that we have done the past few months, let alone the past few hours, so here are a few rare shots that we took a few weeks ago at the Louisburg Cider Mill.

How I like my kids...sitting, eating, and quiet. HA! YUM those donuts are THE BEST!!!

The Last Few Months in Photos

Life has been more than busy to put in words, so here is a pictorial update of what we have been up to. By no means is this even close to a fraction of what we have been doing, but a few highlights!! I hope to keep up at blogging in the near future!

The neighborhood crew that Jonathan has named his "friends." The older girls are a great help and are going to fabulous babysitters some day!

In June, my sister, Kate, and niece, Erin, came to visit. That is my niece on the far right and our kiddos...getting big!!My brother, Pete, and his girlfriend, Sarah, came to visit late July. We had an AMAZING time with them. Below is...brace yourselves...ADULTS only brunch at Lidia's. YUMMY!!!

Bernards' Lake weekend...the kids had a blast on the boat...although, Joe feel asleep on the boat ride.

And, or course, we discovered our children have absolutely NO FEAR of the water and love JUMPING in...three kids that really don't understand the concept of "wait your turn" made two adults sweat in the water!
